Saturday we went to the waterfront for lunch it seemed extra crowded and we thought it was just summer vacationers being new to the area we're still in the discovery mode. We found a place to eat nice view ordered drinks and lunch when suddenly the sky was full of loud roaring sounds. Apparently, it was a patriotic air show festival now I have never been to an air show not my thing kind of scary because sometimes they crash into the crowd and also i just don't like to watch people risk their lives for entertainment. I dislike circuses as well. Well there we were and a group call the blue angels were roaring by in formation doing what looked like jet wheelies and getting really close sideways. Sometimes they would fly straight up and look like they were still then go straight down like they were going to crash. People were delighted and someone at another table said " oh watch this is were they fly at each other at top speed and don't crash" I thought I'm not sure I want to see this. It was spectacular but not something I want to see again.

much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

i went out onto the deck to water some potted plants (i'm sloppy).

in addition to that, i know some who are big fans of the musical, wicked.
i suppose anything having to do with these will be lumped into the garbage by end of summer?.

Advertise, Advertise, Advertise Sparlock And His Magic!
by DT insparlock has magically opened up a whole new world of possibilities for protesting the watchtower society.. instead of convention protests being kind of sad, they now have the potential of being funny and good natured.
can you picture a group of apostates dressed in sparlock costumes or holding signs of sparlock, perhaps even handing out free sparlock merchandise?.
think of how funny it would be for apostates to ask people to be in their seats at the proper time so they can witness the debut of sparlock!

the dubbies probably won't even take the time to watch the dvd, they'll just be so happy that the dc is over for another year.

After seeing Sparlock movie
by Gorbatchov intoday i had some time to see the sparlock movie.. first at all i want to thank my jw parents for giving me a free youth within the jw belief.
i was gifted with a great fantasy.
i played daily characters like tank general (on my bike), secret service employee (behind the couch), the family wizard (with tricks) and soldier... my parents knew it, and loved it.. this dvd is not representative of all jw family's!.

What bothered me alot was people saying from the stage "this is what we should do brothers and sisters" then go home and do whatever. They pride themselves on being truthful and straight so tell it like it is and don't play games that's so hypocritical and we were not all on the same page.i couldn't play the pretend game anymore.
